Developed by Rebel Wolves (a studio founded by former The Witcher 3 creative leads) and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, The Blood of Dawnwalker is an open-world dark fantasy action RPG built on Unreal Engine 5.

Set in 14th-century Europe amidst the Black Death, vampires and creatures of the night have seized power over the Carpathian region of Vale Sangora. You play as Coen, a young man turned into a "Dawnwalker"—a rare hybrid who exists as a human by day and unleashes supernatural vampiric abilities by night.

Core Gameplay Mechanics

• Dual Day & Night System:

  • Daytime (Human Form): Focuses on tactical directional swordplay, magic, stealth, non-violent quest solutions, and social interactions with NPCs in towns and settlements.

  • Nighttime (Vampire Form): Unlocks supernatural agility, wall-scaling, claw strikes, and bloodlust rage attacks to reach hidden areas and overwhelm enemies.

• 30-Day Campaign Timer: The overarching storyline centers on a strict 30-day clock to save Coen's family from Brencis, the vampire leader. Free-roam exploration does not tick down the clock, but undertaking major narrative quests consumes daylight and nighttime segments.

• Bloodlust & Humanity Management: You must feed on enemies or animals at night to sustain your vampiric powers. Neglecting your bloodthirst can cause Coen to lose control and accidentally attack allies, quest givers, or merchants.

• 3 Skill Trees & Shrines: Customize Coen's progression across human martial skills, magic, and vampiric powers using wayshrines to rest, upgrade skills, and fast-travel.
